This is planting weather, no frost from now until the fall. It's time to get busy and seed all those direct seeded crops and transplant those you grew indoors in preparation. May 15 2024There are many ways to grow vegetables for your family. You can use raised bed gardening or combine planters with hugelkultur and grow vegetables in pots or even grow bags, which contain soil mix and keep it from getting infested with bugs, or make a mess all over.Growing a bit of mesclun or lettuce in an old-window-cold-frame.html can keep those tender young plants safe from all kinds of marauders in the garden, like slugs, chipmunks, and the like.
